The Character Avantika (Kareena Kapoor) is a University instructor in Delhi who's retuned from U.S. to take care of her papa who's lately got a heart attack. During these time she meets Ehsaan (Saif Ali Khan) a another prof and thus their love story gets. A few months down the road Avantika gets a call from her University in Delhi addressing her back to work. While she tells Ehsaan he agrees to go with her but wants to marry before they leave behind.
